Success in Life and the Mystery of Focus

4:24 م Posted by Unknown No comments

If you are wishy-washy and undecided about you want and go to see a very powerful person who knows exactly what he wants, he will get out of you what he is looking for since he is more focused than you.

Define your aim very clearly and know exactly what you want from the person you are about to meet. Most successful people are very focused and mentally concentrated on what they want and they steer those around them by force of their will to the direction in which they are going - like a ship that has a charted course. You hop on it. The ship keeps on going in a charted course even if you may not notice it.

Those who are more focused on their goals mentally dominate others around them or they will not be successful. Hence the corollary: the strong rule the weak.

If you want to move in more than one direction, the successful person will notice this in an instant and will not waver a bit. The secret of success in a project is the focus and concentration of all our forces: physical, mental and spiritual on that particular goal until success if achieved. A scattering of our energies and resources in more than one direction at a time will lead to mediocre results in every goal pursued. It is like dancing a little, playing the guitar as a hobby, and acting as an extra in a film.

Since the energies of human beings are very limited, we must learn to focus them on one particular project at a time within a certain framework of time. All the leaders in business or industry are highly focused people and they have perfected the mental art of concentration. And that's what makes their aura or energy so powerful that anyone who comes within their close proximity feels the impact and is touched by it.

Learn to prioritize your desires and goals and then focus all your energies on one aim and you will succeed every time, provided you don't shift your mental focus before success is achieved.

Reach Your Goals

Do you know that there is a formula for attaining material success? Indeed, there is.

My research has shown that people have gained material prosperity by following certain strategies, especially for projects requiring a large investment of up to $10 million with a short time frame for completion, i.e. one year.

The choice of the right team with the required know-how and expertise and the correct choice of location for its execution are essential for the successful completion of the project. The next most crucial aspect will be the right leadership and management, since the person in charge will provide the motivating force. Such positive catalysts are the soul of the project, since the people who are fully committed, will invest not only their expertise but also their hopes, desires, energy and concentration. A manager who has a vision, will be fully dedicated and focused on the successful completion of the project.

A vital factor that can mean success or failure is the harmony among the managerial team. The greater the harmony, the greater are the chances of success. The right choice can only be made by a great insight into the human personality. And for that a sensitivity for the talents of people hired is a must. It is my belief that if there is even one person who disagrees with the strategies and techniques employed by others, this will reduce the chances of success considerably. The manager has to be a uniting force to motivate others to get the job done efficiently and successfully.

Timing is another pertinent ingredient that must not be ignored. Wrong timing can mean higher costs or more wastage of precious time. In case of a $10 million movie project, the personalities, that is the main actors, must be able to deliver what the script warrants or it will be a flop. The audience in this case will be the sole judge.

It must be emphasized here that success in a project is largely dependent upon the expertise of the team plus the vibrational harmony among the people involved. It is team work. Without the full cooperation of all the individuals involved the project will not be successful. Many a movie was started and never made it to the screen. May you always make the right choices and be crowned with success!

Most Romantic Places for Getting Engaged

1:36 م Posted by Unknown No comments

Given its connotations with eternal love and a life spent together, most couples obviously hope the act of getting engaged and specifically the proposal ceremony will be an unforgettably romantic moment. And for the most part, grooms (and some brides) tend to do their best to make sure that is the case.

Fortunately for couples in this sort of situation, our wonderful planet tends to yield quite a few locations where the objective of making the engagement ceremony as romantic as possible is easily achieved. Whether their significant other has a weak spot for tropical scenery, prefers something a little more urban or is truly happy out in the countryside, there is bound to be a spot on our green Earth where they can create unforgettable moments of true romance for getting engaged. Below are just a few of the locations which gather the highest consensus in this regard.

Tropical Heat

Usually among the first destinations to come to mind when one imagines an idyllic holiday, tropical islands are also very conducive to romantic getaways and have long been associated with them. And while places like St Lucia, Hawaii or the Bahamas tend to be more popular with honeymooners, they can also constitute excellent locations for getting engaged, with their temperate climate, luxuriant scenery and clear blue waters. A bride or groom looking to impress his or her significant other with scenery to match their grand statement could therefore do worse than to pick one of these islands as the setting for their ring presentation moment.

European Capitals

Most of the main European cities present an excellent backdrop for getting engaged; one need think no further than Paris, Venice or London to acknowledge the truth in this statement. The French capital in particular is world-renowned for its appeal to lovers, who can pop the question on the Pont Neuf or at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Venice, with its meandering canals and singing gondoliers, is another favourite spot for this type of event among European brides and grooms. Outside Europe, certain parts of cities like New York or Rio are also conducive to romantic engagement proposals and may appeal to couples wanting a unique setting for their ring presentation ceremony.

Africa

Yes, Africa. While generally overlooked by the majority of Western tourists, the 'dark continent' can be an excellent place in which to propose to your other half. Presenting the ring during a safari in Kenya, for example, can create an extremely romantic and memorable moment for getting engaged and could well earn the brides and grooms who attempt it the kind of reply they hope to hear.

At the end of the day, however, the choice of backdrop against which to get engaged is really up to the preferences of the bride or groom. Hopefully, they will know their partner well enough to know what would constitute an unforgettable experience for him or her and work along those lines.

Are You Creative? Do These 12 Characteristics Of A Creative Person Describe You?

1:26 م Posted by Unknown No comments

Creativity can be described as the ability to bring something into existence; into being. Having said that, nobody really knows exactly what it is: Creative moments can mysteriously show up in certain situations and in context, while it can also fail when really needed.

From studies neurologists say that creativity paints a complex picture. The idea that the right-brain is where creativity happens with emotions while the left-brain is based on rational, analytical and logical thought is oversimplified. It has not yet been clearly established what happens during the creative cognitive processes with respect to neural pathways.

However, psychologically speaking, there are certain personality traits or characteristics that define a creative person. Researcher Scott Barry Kaufman at the Psychology department of New York University says, in so many words, one major feature of the creative person is that they are more complex individuals than the non-creative... because of this he went on to say that imaginative people have 'messier minds.'

While there is no stereotypical personality type there are certain tell-tale signs or characteristics that describe a creative person. Here are those tell-tale signs or characteristics. Do they describe you?

1. Creative people daydream

Creative people find themselves daydreaming from time to time. Contrary to what teacher told you in the classroom with its negative connotations, daydreaming may allow people to be highly effective by creating something useful right out of the blue...

2. Are wide-eyed and observant!

They see things; objects, people and events... from many angles, taking in all they can with the idea that their observations could be turned into something creative one day...

3. Like to spend time alone

Whether it's through habit or by nature many successful creative people have been known to be loners. Spending time alone opens the channels for those creative inspirational moments. Indeed, this links with the above that creative people daydream.

Daydreaming and solitude go hand in hand. In both circumstances it allows creative individuals to get in touch with their inner being and express themselves. It comes as no surprise that many famous artists, writers... were considered to be loners.

4. Rise above hardships, using this as a platform for creative output

Psychology recognises the fact that there is a pattern here. Whether it's at the group or individual level, creative people, having gone through all sorts of heartbreak and pain have turned these things around into something effective, seeing new possibilities for themselves in a different light.

5. Willingness to experience new things

This has been said to be a significant predictor of creativity and creative output. The openness to experience and what is experienced can be a vast range of things, ranging from the sensational, emotional, intellectual, fantasy, thrill seeking... all these experiences brought together as inspiration for creative output. Diversity of experience plays a significant part in nurturing creativity.

6. Show much resilience

The already mentioned Psychologist Kaufman described resilience as a pre-requisite for creative success. Creative individuals are known to fail repeatedly until they can find something that works for them. The trick here is to not take failure or rejection so seriously, but to keep going... to find some workable stability.

7. Don't avoid the risk

Are not afraid of taking risks related to what they have brought into existence and into being. Innovators may well find themselves having to take risks. Indeed, money, people and resources could well be at stake.

8. They see things as a chance for self-expression

No matter what the circumstances are creative people are always on the lookout for opportunities to express their views, desires and needs in a unique way...

9. Follow what moves, inspires and guides

They act on what intrinsically moves, inspires and guides them rather than getting swayed by external influences like reward and recognition. Just looking at the possibility of what could be intrinsically inspiring is enough to get creativity going.

10. Move away from limitations / confinements

They see a bigger picture, not dwelling on the limitations / confinements that others normally stay with, willing to embrace a greater possibility. Great artists, writers... entrepreneurs... have the ability of vision, seeing things outside of the box and are able to 'connect the dots.' Creativity doesn't just mean putting the pieces together. It's necessary to know what order and when each piece comes together to form the whole like 'connecting the dots.'

11. Easily lose track of the time

When in the creative flow writers, musicians, painters, dancers, actors... often lose track of the time. The creative flow is a state that transcends conscious thinking, shutting off time keeping or any distractions and external pressures.

12. Stay focussed

Creative people recognise the importance of staying focussed. If you are in the performing arts' staying focussed is of course essential. It goes further than this. Maintaining the creative state through mindfulness has been shown by research to increase brain power. There was a Danish 2012 study which showed that mindfulness meditation could enhance creative output. Other bonuses included better memory, an increase in emotional well-being, stress and anxiety reduction.

The Parameters of Success

1:21 م Posted by Unknown No comments

Some people believed that success is measured through their material possession such as the amount they have in bank or their cash on hand, the quantity of accumulated wealth, fame, prestige, respect and achievements.

But life is not always that becoming. Those people who have financial or career success sometimes have failed in their personal relationships. Like in my own experience. I would say that I have a successful career, but my marriage is a failure. No matter what I do, my husband and I never arrived to a consensus which resulted to our separation. Although I appear prosperous to some people because of my achievements, but still, it is not a guarantee that I am really happy and contented.

For me, success is being able to rise when you fall, to stand when you stumble and to seize the inadequacy of life. Being successful is being happy and contented with what you are doing. It is the sense of achievement that you feel every time you accomplished a well-done job and it is the ability to embrace the imperfection of life.

Success is when you are able to perform your work beyond the call of duty and without expecting any return.

Success is a continuous journey. Getting a good job and good salary from a company you work with is just a little triumph. It is the self-satisfaction that we felt in any type of work. It is our capacity to shine despite others impaired judgment.

Success can also be measured by having a good interpersonal relationship. It is a gift that only few people have. But it is not enough to be just a nice person or to have a pleasing personality. We need to build rapport based on trust, honesty, respect and communication. When we are able to do this, that's the time that we can be called successful.

Successful persons live with life's challenges. It is the ability to see the brighter side of the world and to surpass any obstacles and trials that life has. People should never feel upset when lost. If they fail, they should be willing to try harder and work more until they succeed.

Success is learning. When we learn something from our experience, it gives us an internal satisfaction. It is not about being able to brag and tell the whole world about our achievements. Real success is within ourselves. You know your self when you have succeed even without telling anyone.

Success is not about being winning in a competition but rather it is about how we wholeheartedly accept defeat. It is within ourselves. Most people struggle through life and wonder why they never get anywhere. It is about being able to accept our mistakes and learn from it.

Thus, real success can be attained by accepting life's flaws and recognizing that failures and drawbacks are just part of the process of reaching to the top of the ladder.

7 Golden Rules to Solve Your Money Problems

1:17 م Posted by Unknown No comments

Sooner or later almost everyone have to deal with some sort of problems related to money.

While "money don't buy happiness", they certainly can give some security when is time to pay the bills or, more important, to get some food.

If you used to be wealthy and for some reason your lifestyle had to shift drastically in the opposite direction you are probably facing a huge deal of changes in your habits.

Descending the stairs of success is not that amusing as ascending them. There are quite many painful moments to swallow.

Most friends who used to hang out with you will slowly be more busy until you have no more contact with them. However, this is the time where you can see who sticks around and enjoy to have a nice conversation with you about stuff that you normally do together. It's like an automatic quality friends filtering system.

Simplicity will take over and you have just to adapt and understand it.

There is a saying that goes: "understand death to understand life" and even if it sound scary at first, you should try to open up to a new level of understanding of the meaning.

Try this translation for instance: "understand poverty to better achieve and enjoy richness".

Instead of whining about your situation and be scared of getting worse you may want to try to embrace your situation as it is and enjoy this very moment as it comes. Once you understand the whole book, the beginning and the end, you'll know what parts you enjoy the most and how to get back on the other side.

There are few things you can do in order to get ready to be back to the lifestyle you want.

1) Avoid Debts

Don't borrow money! Especially if you have no clue on how to give it back. Avoid any money related problem, and if you already have it try to fix it as your first priority. Remember, debts create more debts. Most importantly, do NOT borrow money from your friends. Don't confuse "borrowing" with "investing". If you ever get money from someone you should use them wisely to generate more income instead of just wasting them.

2) Save money

Even if it's difficult, try to save 5% to 10% of every penny that comes in your pocket. Save it, forget it and NEVER spend it. It will feel good to know that you have a nice amount in your savings and it will help you to get to your desired high level faster. Your money is like a treasure to be saved and never wasted. Love your cash and see it like a collectible item. Think about it all the time. Would you use your precious collection of notes to buy something that you may not really need? You don't have to be greedy but you should fix the concept of the right value and learn to do your math.

3) Eat what you need, not what you want

Gichin Funakoshi taught us to use modesty when we eat. Eating more than what we need is just a waste. Spending money to buy "ready to eat" food is a habit that comes from the society we are living.

If you used to go to the supermarket or restaurant to get your food, there is a great chance that you've always paid a lot to eat something you don't know. But there is a better way than just trusting the cans. Find a fresh market.

Get fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Leave the junk food to the TV advertisers and start to see with your own eyes.

Eggs, fruits, nuts, chicken, textured soy, mixed salads are all cheap food and provide a great nutrition level.

4) Learn

Learn everything you can to make anything on your own. Understand how things work and apply them to your own life.

Study about nutrition and how to improve your meals with basic needs. Learn new stuff that you've always wanted to do but you were too busy or too lazy to actually do it. You may find your way to discover something great that was always in your dreams but you forgot about.

We live in the second millennium and information can be found for free everywhere; Internet, magazines, books, free courses, you name it.

5) Train

You don't need money to train. Just a t-shirt, shorts, shoes and a towel. That's it!

Get a habit of moving your body regularly. If you are wealthy you can afford to be lazy potato couch because you can pay a private hospital to take care of you. But remember, your body is ALL you have. It's the vehicle that your soul is driving and you must take good care of it.

If you can't afford medical expenses you should be healthy like a running rabbit. Have you noticed that many famous athletes come originally from poor countries? Because they enjoy what they do. Because they have a goal, Because they don't want to be poor anymore. And they did it!

You don't need a gym to get fit. Calisthenics is a great form of free body training to make you look awesome and to be healthy. All you need is yourself and perhaps some friends to add more fun on your new habits. Making your body feel better will make your brain think better.

6) Enjoy yourself

When you really reach the bottom you can't go lower. There is a point where you understand that life is not about winning but about enjoying the moment. Doesn't matter how bad the situation may look, you can't get lower than this, right?

Don't judge your situation because it would be like judging yourself. If you judge yourself you are not taking care of yourself. Up value your self-esteem.

Use what you've learned to create something new every day. Think more straight about your target and goals.

7) Receive

Be aware of what is going on around you, your connections, your communications, and like a radar you will notice that something is attracting you in their direction. It may be a voice, a vibration, an energy, or what ever you want to call it that is getting stronger and stronger every day. Forget the achievement of money for a moment. Get into the feeling of achievement of yourself in the way you want to be if you had everything you want. Get the feeling, not the picture.
